Dr. KC Collins

Associate Director, Graduate

KC Collins is an Associate Professor in the School of Information Technology. Her work focuses on sound and music in technology, and explores how new technologies impact our auditory experience. This research has included studies of sound on smart tables, mobile phones, video games/VR, and slot machines. She is a member of the Royal Society of Canada's College of New Scholars and recipient of multiple research awards. She is also a filmmaker interested in interactive narratives, and has worked extensively in areas of sonic branding, user experience and human-computer interaction.
