Dr. Wei Shi <\/strong>is a full professor in the School of Information Technology<\/a><\/span>, cross appointed to the department of Systems and Computer Engineering, in the Faculty of Engineering and Design, at\u00a0Carleton University<\/a><\/span> in Ottawa, Canada. She is specialized in the design and analysis of fault tolerance algorithms addressing security issues in distributed environments such as Data Centres Networks, Clouds, Mobile Agents and Actuator Systems, Wireless Sensor Networks, as well as Critical Infrastructures such as Power Grids and Smart Cities. She has also been conducting research in data privacy, big data analytics and distributed machine learning. Wei holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in China, as well as a Master’s and a Ph.D. of Computer Science from Carleton University.
