- March 2022: Carleton University Research Award Carleton University Research Award for 2022. Award is a $15,000.
- November 2021: Outstanding Engineering Educator Award IEEE Ottawa Section Outstanding Engineering Educator Award for recognition of "outstanding contributions to engineering research and education, and more specifically in the field of computer and network security."
- March 2021: Carleton Faculty Research Award Faculty of Engineering and Design's Research Award for 2021/22, Carleton University. Award is a $10,000 research grant from the University.
- October 2020: Best Paper Award Our paper titled "Proactive and Dynamic Slice Allocation in Sliced 5G Core Networks" has been awarded the best paper at the 2020 IEEE International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC 2020) Conference, October 2020, co-authored with my Ph.D student Danish Sattar.
- October 2019: Best Poster Award Our short paper abstract titled "A Convolutional Neural Network Solution for Pipeline Leak Detection" has been awarded the best poster at the IEEE Wireless in Space and Extreme Environments (WISEE 2019) Conference, October 2019, co-authored with my Ph.D student Olakunle Ibitoye and Prof. M. Omair Shafiq.
- March 2019: Graduate Mentoring Award I have been awarded the 2018 Faculty Graduate Mentoring Award .

at the ACM Asia Conference on Computer and Communications Security(AsiaCCS)
for our paper: "Accurate Manipulation of Delay-based Internet Geolocation", co-authored with my former Ph.D. student
